Guidance for Parents and Pupils on Learning at Home

We have put in place various provisions so as far as is possible, pupils will be able to continue to have contact with their peers and their teacher and they will be able to continue to learn and practise skills.

West Park is a very hands on school and learning at West Park is very active and involves lots of practical work, resources, experiential learning, constant feedback and discussion. This is obviously very difficult to replicate at home. However we have put provisions in place to ensure that your child will still be able to learn while at home.

YOU WILL NEED YOUR CHILD’S HWB LOGIN DETAILS AND PASSWORD TO LOG ON TO HWB and WITHIN HWB YOU WILL BE ABLE ACCESS THEIR GOOGLE CLASSROOM

There is a VIDEO TUTORIAL in the VIDEO RESOURCE CENTRE as well as GUIDES AND LEAFLETS to help you get started.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM within HWB will be our main form of communication and this is where daily set work will be placed and feedback will be given to pupils

Each year group have created a Cohort Classroom which your child can join to access their learning, receive feedback and communicate with their teacher and friends.
